What is live in care?

Live in care is an ideal care option for somebody that requires companionship, security or constant/round the clock care, it means they will have a carer live at their property, who will be able to assist them with a range of day to day tasks such as light housework, food preparation, running errands such as food shopping and picking up prescriptions, help with mobility and medications and personal care such as help with washing, getting dressed and going to the toilet.

A live in carer will work to the requirements and ability of the person they care for and they will encourage independence where it is safe to do so. The one-on-one care they provide means they can build a relationship with the person they care for and develop an understanding of their needs and routines.

A live in carer needs their own room as part of the role, where they can rest and live outside of their working hours.

Why choose live in care in Brentwood?

More and more people have a desire to remain in their own homes as long as possible so they can remain in a familiar environment and enjoy the independence and routines they are used to as well as ensuring their home can remain in their ownership.

The benefits of Brentwood live in care are that somebody can benefit from one carer who is always available, understands their needs and routines, has the time to help them and provide the care and attention required. In residential care, this level of care can be difficult to maintain due to carers caring for many different residents at any one time.

frequently asked questions

  • Q. How much does Live-in care cost?

The main details of the offer are as follows:

    • A 4-week live-in home care trial offer
    • £900.00 per week inclusive*
    • No obligation to continue after the initial 4-weeks

*Please note that following your 4-week trial period, at the reduced cost of £900 per week, the price paid for live in care will revert to our normal pricing structure.

  • Q. What type of services does Live In Solutions provide?

We provide live-in care services across the South of England.

Live-In Care is when someone needs a personal assistant around the house to provide support at various times of the day. The personal assistant is always on hand giving the client the flexibility to structure each day to meet their needs and preferences.

  • Q. What training is provided to the Care Workers provided by Live In Solutions?

The Care Workers we provide to you will have had training that meets the standard required by the Health & Social Care Act (2012). Most of our care staff will have qualifications that exceed these standards. We will also supply the necessary updates and condition specific courses that equip our care workers with the skills required to competently care for our clients.

  • Q. Does a live-in carer need their own room?

When it comes to live-in carers, we do ask that the carer is given a room with furnishings such as a bed, bedside table, chest of drawers and wardrobe where possible to help them rest in between shifts to ensure the best possible level of care can be provided at all times.

  • Q. Do you offer care to couples?

If you and your spouse or partner want to stay in your own home together but require extra support, we can provide a carer to help couples in their own home as a cost-effective alternative to paying for two beds in a residential care home.

  • Q. What will the Care Worker be able to do for me?

Our Care Workers are there to help you with your needs whatever they may be. You may like someone to live with you to keep you company and to do general housework. Other clients may need more practical assistance with personal care and planning and preparing of meals.

Following a free initial assessment, we endeavour to match a suitable care worker to you. He or she will then provide the majority of your on-going care.

  • Q. Where do we recruit our staff from?

We endeavour to recruit our Care Workers from the UK. When we do recruit people that have recently moved to the UK, we ensure that potential staff have good English-speaking and written skills and a good knowledge of our culture.

We have no upper age limit though older care workers need to be fit enough to help frail and or disabled people with transfers. The experience and attitude of potential staff is more important to us than their age.

why our clients choose us

Fatihat did a wonderful job. We found her to be very pleasant and her care for my mother was really good. This enabled us to feel confident in going away for some respite even knowing that my mother could be challenging.

We used Live In Solutions as a quick stand in for our usual care company and they provided an outstanding service so we will be using them again in the future.

To Taya and all of Live in Solutions, Thank you so much for the lovely flowers. Also for the kindness you have shown me during my time with you. I shall miss caring but I am looking forward to spending the summer at home.

Thank you so much for the care and attention that you gave to my mother Violet over the past few years. I know that she appreciated the dedication and friendship that you gave to her. With all our very best wishes to you all.

Chidimma is the best carer I have ever had. Chidimma is very good; she makes me feel comfortable and safe.

I would just like to thank the wonderful team of carers that looked after my mother-in-law Joyce for the last month of her life. They were always so positive, cheerful and caring, always talking to her, and so much patience. They helped to make me feel that I had got it right with her needs also. I'm extremely grateful to them all. Thank you so much.
